Pekerja 01: Foreign Security Guards

Description

by Vic Wolfe, Summer, Jiaxin and Eunice

Themes: labour, invisibility, everyday routines

Combines photography, text, and urban observation

Pekerja 01: Foreign Security Guards turns its gaze toward the ones we see every day but rarely look at — foreign security workers across Kuala Lumpur.

This zine captures their quiet presence at thresholds, their routines, and their resilience, making visible what is often overlooked.

Part of the Pekerja series, this first issue explores labour, invisibility, and the textures of everyday life in the city. A documentary-leaning zine that sits between photography, social reflection, and candid relief.
